Suggested Candidates

Careers24 offers matched or suggested candidates by means of an automated search in the Careers24 searchable database, against details of the vacancy.
It is important to note that candidates that have chosen to hide themselves, or be excluded from certain company types, namely Corporate or Agency, will not appear.

Results are ranked highest by job title, followed by matched CV skills.

As Suggested Candidates is search based, we offer the same view of candidate information as well as filters available for refining results.

Number of Results and Sorting

At the top right of the profiles available for reviewing, you can assess how many candidates will be available and select paging preferences (how many records display per page).
Located top left, select to expand or collapse candidate profiles as well as change the order of the results, by selecting relevancy or last activity.

Refine Suggested Candidates

To efficiently view suggested candidate, refine or filter the matched candidates. A good rule of thumb is to use the basic information required for the role such as location, sector experience, level of education, etc.

Refine Search options include:

• Location: select a location at a National, Provincial, Municipal or Suburban level. Multiple selection can be made with conditions.
• Sector: select one or more sectors under which candidates have registered..
• Level of Education: select on or more levels of education.
• Nationality: select either South African or Non-South African.
• Gender: select male, female and/or unspecified.
• Ethnicity: select one or more ethnicity filters
• Disability: select yes or no to filter according to disability status of the candidate.
• Salary (per month): all salaries are converted and displayed as monthly values to ensure common understanding and facilitate filtering. Select one or more salary ranges
• Work experiences: select one or more work experience levels

Suggested Candidate Profile View

Choose to view more or less of the profile details.

Should you opt to see less information, the profile will collapse and display only the candidate profile header.
