Basic Search
User friendly search function that incorporates basic Boolean functions.
Careers24 makes allowance for terms such as AND, OR and NOT when searching.
By default, you can search Current Job Title, Keywords and Location however each user can customise their search view.
When to use AND and OR
When running a search, be aware that both AND and OR yield different results. To look for similar job titles, use the OR function to ensure that your result included the highest number of candidates that you are looking for.
When searching for a number of requirements, such as software, skills or languages, use the AND function to ensure that candidates in your result meet these requirements.
How to exclude, or use NOT
Once the search terms have been added to the search platform, a user can click on the green tick to change to exclude, or NOT.
Please note, using the example below, that all search results will now exclude the term "java".
Adding or changing search fields
Should you wish to add more fields, whether to included additional required terms or different search fields, you can do this by clicking on the "add another field" link below the search fields.
In order to change the search field, click on the field name and select from the drop down list. These fields will allow you to search for specific information, or in specific fields of the candidate profile.
For example, by selecting "Candidate Name" you can search for a specific Job-seeker.
